“Having always had a passion for horses, equine education was a dream come true, so I started at Brooksby with the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Equine Management. I loved each module and was eager to learn more! Through this, the Foundation Degree in Equine Performance Science was a clear path to take to further my knowledge in Equine studies.
In the degree, I love the independence within our modules, business plans of our choosing, proposals, and more. I have been able to play to my strengths and passions through these modules and I have enjoyed each second doing so.
My main passion however is Equine Welfare. I want to be able to use my knowledge gained in modules such as Anatomy and Physiology & Rehab and Therapy to be able to help horses in the industry, whether this be practically or through relevant research into the subject area.
Looking to stay onto third year, I hope to gain further knowledge and be able to take the degree further onto an MRes in Equine Health and Welfare. With the support from the SMB College Group Family that I have had, I feel I can achieve this and help others with their own pathways. I hope to achieve this through my role as an HE Equine ambassador - increasing awareness of equine education and helping others achieve their goals and dreams, just like I am doing.”
