I've wanted to be in the police force for as long as I can remember. Currently, I'm in my second year of the UPS course at SMB College Group’s Brooksby Campus. My journey has been incredibly rewarding and has solidified my passion for entering the Police.
Having studied at Brooksby, on the Level 3 Countryside Management course for two years, the skills and knowledge that I gained inspired me to focus on a career in forestry. The tutors, course content and Brooksby estate provided the necessary tools and depth for learning.

The reason I chose to study at SMB’s Brooksby Campus is because of the smaller class sizes, meaning we got more personalised teaching in our lectures. I really enjoyed the course, especially when we worked in small groups on a variety of projects – allowing me to get a good understanding of all areas of the industry including the behaviours, health and biology of a wide range of animals.

I learn best by doing, and I like to be out and about. Brooksby has a great programme and lots of space with a whole host of animals, so it was a ‘no brainier’ for me.
