“Having always had a passion for horses, equine education was a dream come true, so I started at Brooksby with the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Equine Management. I loved each module and was eager to learn more! Through this, the Foundation Degree in Equine Performance Science was a clear path to take to further my knowledge in Equine studies.
“I am currently in my second year of study in FdSc Equine Performance Science at SMB College Group. Before coming here, I studied Double Sport and Applied Science at Reigate college in Surrey. Although it felt like a big step to move away from home, I have really loved this course and feel very settled in my new home.
My time at Melton was the perfect starting point to my professional training. The course and tutors helped me to gain the skills and confidence I needed to progress onto stage school and then into the start of my career.
I studied Musical Theatre at Melton and couldn’t have asked for a better experience during my time there. A mix of great rehearsal spaces, our own theatre and enthusiastic tutors meant I was challenged and pushed to be the best I could be on a daily basis. I am now in my final year at drama school (The Arden School of Theatre) and have begun teaching singing at a theatre school, I am exactly where I dreamed I’d be at this stage in my life and I credit my time at college for it
Choosing to do musical theatre was a tough decision with all my friends going on to do A-levels but I wanted nothing more than to peruse my career in performing arts. Needless to say, SMB College Group and all of its tutors made it the best decision.
