Winner of the Coventry and Warwickshire Apprentice of the Year award in the Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Care Category.
“After completing my Level 2 Horticulture apprenticeship, my employer at Coventry University paid for me to undertake an RHS Level 3 qualification, as I had worked hard and shown great performance in the work environment. It was because of this that my line manager believed me to be a worthy nominee for the Coventry and Warwickshire Apprentice of the Year award.
My training officer from college was extremely helpful throughout my apprenticeship. She was very supportive and provided useful advice and answers to my queries. She also guided me through the creation of my portfolio. Winning the award showed me what I am able to achieve when I am committed and receive the right support: I would not have been able to achieve what I have without the support of both Brooksby and Coventry University, as both have helped me to gain a wide variety of skills and knowledge over the past year. After completing my apprenticeship, I accepted a live-in position in the Cotswolds.”
