“I chose to study Catering at the Melton Campus because cooking is something that I have always really enjoyed. My favourite thing about studying Catering at the college was the opportunity to test my skills by entering competitions all over the country, including the Teflon Diamond Standard competition, which I won.

Winning this competition gave me a three-year scholarship to train with top specialist chefs, as well as winning catering equipment for both the college and myself. Studying at the Melton Campus gave me an advantage in these competitions because it provided the equipment, facilities and guidance needed for me to perfect my dishes, and I had the opportunity to learn from tutors who have expert knowledge from many years of working within the industry themselves.”
