I would recommend the course because I was able to learn and build upon many skills which I was then able to use in my own garden but also to educate others.

I enjoyed the Horticulture course as it touched on several different areas of the industry including turf management, propagation methods and Garden Design.
My favourite part of the course was being able to link technical drawing to the outside world, creating sketches that had to meet a certain criterion.

I was able to use my wider knowledge from studying Floristry to help me in the Horticulture course. I was also able to go to large gardens and historic houses as part of the extracurricular, such as Woburn Abbey and Kew Gardens, this helped us to gather and bring together our learning as a whole.

I feel this course is suited to anybody who likes hands-on work and likes working outside. I would recommend the course because I was able to learn and build upon many skills which I was then able to use in my own garden but also to educate others.

Since leaving Brooksby, I have managed to incorporate both Floristry and Horticulture; and I now work full time as a Florist, where instead of cultivating and propagating the plants, I am creating designs and bouquets with cut flowers!
