Our Bricklaying girls said:

"I chose to go into the Construction industry because I believe it will give me a career for life. My career ambition is to continue at the Brooksby Campus and get as much education as possible so that I can progress onto University and eventually become a Construction Site Manager. I’m really interested in the opportunity to pursue a T Level qualification, which will give me the requirements that I need for a University course." - Tali

"I chose to go into Construction because I loved the idea of going against the stereotypes and following my own path with my career." - Casey

"I chose to go into Construction because I loved the idea of going against the stereotypes and following my own path with my career." - Tanya

"I chose to study a Construction trade because my dad is a tradesman and he encouraged me to go into this career. After I finish my full-time course in Bricklaying, I’m hoping to stay on with SMB College Group to complete an apprenticeship, where I can get hands-on experience on site and still benefit from learning at college." - Brooke

Our Multi-trade students, said:

"I am studying Level 1 Multi-trade, which lets me explore lots of trades within Construction. So far, I’ve really been enjoying Bricklaying, so I am hoping to stay at Brooksby to study Level 2 Bricklaying next year. I really like the Brooksby Campus as it’s a nice site." - Makalaha

"So far we’ve done Bricklaying, Carpentry and Painting & Decorating. We’ll be moving on to plumbing after half term. So far, my favourite trade has been either Bricklaying or Painting & Decorating. It’s great to be able to have a go at a range of trades so I can decide which one I like best for my future career." - Lucy

And, Annabel, studying Carpentry & Joinery, said: "I live 1 hour 40 minutes from the campus and I use the college bus to travel to the Brooksby Campus for my lessons. The friends I’ve made at college make it all worth it and have really made the experience for me. It’s great to have so many other female students on the course who are interested in pursuing a career in the Construction industry."
