How will I learn?
Each distance learning course is available to study online or by paper workbook. Your tutor will be in touch by telephone, email, or sometimes in-person, to give you support, advice, and guidance throughout the course, and will provide feedback on the work you have completed.

How will I be assessed?
Your tutor will mark your submitted coursework. No examinations are required.

Where could this course lead to?
You may wish to broaden your knowledge by completing our other available short courses, for example: Equality & Diversity, Mental Health Awareness, Principles of Dementia Care, Understanding the Safe Handling of Medicines and Principles of End of Life Care.

What qualifications or experience do I need?
Our distance learning courses require no prior experience and are the perfect way to achieve a qualification for a change of career or to upskill in your industry. However, there is some criteria to meet:

You must be 19 or over and working or looking for work.

If you are between the age of 19-23, you must already have a Level 2 qualification (i.e. 5 GCSEs at grade C/4)

You have been a resident in the EU for the last three years.

You must not be enrolled on any other funded courses (if you are on another course, let us know so we can check eligibility)

You must live in England (we will need to check your postcode as there are some areas of the country we cannot enrol students)
