  • How will I learn?
    Each distance learning course is available to study online or by paper workbook. Your tutor will be in touch by telephone, email, or sometimes in-person, to give you support, advice, and guidance throughout the course, and will provide feedback on the work you have completed.
  • How will I be assessed?
    Your tutor will mark your submitted coursework. No examinations are required.
  • Where could this course lead to?
    You may wish to broaden your knowledge by completing our other available short courses, for example: Equality & Diversity, Mental Health Awareness, Principles of Dementia Care, Understanding the Safe Handling of Medicines and Principles of End of Life Care.
  • What qualifications or experience do I need?

    Our distance learning courses require no prior experience and are the perfect way to achieve a qualification for a change of career or to upskill in your industry. However, there is some criteria to meet:

    • You must be 19 or over and working or looking for work.
    • If you are between the age of 19-23, you must already have a Level 2 qualification (i.e. 5 GCSEs at grade C/4)
    • You have been a resident in the EU for the last three years.
    • You must not be enrolled on any other funded courses (if you are on another course, let us know so we can check eligibility)
    • You must live in England (we will need to check your postcode as there are some areas of the country we cannot enrol students)
  • How long is the course?
    12 weeks.
