This qualification enables learners to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for working in a supervised role with adults in Health and Social Care settings. The course will cover a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.

  • What will I learn?
    You will study a range of modules, including: Equality, Diversity and Rights in Health and Social Care; Human Growth and Development; Safeguarding and Protection in Health and Social Care; Working in Health and Social Care. You will also be able to choose between two optional modules: Creative Activities in Health and Social Care; or Health and Well-Being. Our Health and Social care students benefit from hearing from some amazing guest speakers, sharing their industry knowledge, experience and contacts!
  • How will I be assessed?
    All units are assessed through projects or coursework which includes developing posters, leaflets, presentations and written work, such as assignments. There are also two written exams.
  • Where could this course lead to?
    Following this course, you could progress to a Level 3 Health and Social Care, or T-Level Healthcare Science. Some of our students also choose to undertake an apprenticeship, or go into employement in the sector.
  • What qualifications or experience do I need?
    4 GCSEs at Grade D/3 including Maths and English.
