The SMB College Group is a highly successful FE college, formed of two merged and reputable colleges – Stephenson College and Brooksby Melton College. Specialising in land-based, technical, trade and creative arts, we provide an extensive curriculum from Agriculture to Animal Care, Construction to Sport, Hair & Beauty to Care. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the College for an Exams Coordinator to join the team based at our Stephenson Campus.
Working in this role you will work alongside the Exams Manager to coordinate the daily planning and running of examinations for both Online and Paper-based exams.
You will:
- ensure all registrations, exam entries, results and claims are made within a timely manner and in line with college priorities.
- schedule invigilators for exams and organise cover for any last-minute absences.
- work alongside the Exams Administrator to maintain the college student records system with all examination and achievement information.
- work alongside the SENCo team to ensure that all our students access arrangements are processed in a timely manner and approvals are in place prior to exams.
- ensure that examination materials are stored and handled in line with the awarding organisation, JCQ and college requirements
The successful candidate should have excellent IT skills and have an eye for detail, with the ability to work under pressure.
You will also promote the highest possible standards in customer care, equal opportunities and health and safety practices for the benefit of students
