It's National Apprenticeship Week, a week that brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy!
Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to train for a successful and fulfilling career, and to get paid while you train. They are real jobs with real employers, with a dedicated training programme attached so that apprentices can gain valuable on-the-job training and experience whilst gaining their nationally-recognised qualification.
This week, we're hosting two Apprenticeship Drop-in Sessions at our Stephenson Campus in Coalville! Designed for students who are leaving school this year, these sessions aim to provide everything you need to know about what apprenticeships are - so that you can make informed decisions when it comes to the next step in your academic journey. Parents and Guardians are also welcome to attend, so that you can be well-equipped to support your child through their Post-16 transition.
During the drop-in sessions, aspiring apprentices can:
- Find out the basics about apprenticeships
- Discover the current opportunities that the college has on offer
- Understand how to apply
- Receive a CV guide
- Speak to an Advisor on a one-to-one basis
Here at the college, we work with hundreds of employers across a wide range of industries – from Early Years to Construction, Agriculture, Hairdressing and lots more. So wherever your career aspirations lie, we're likely to have an apprenticeship option for you.
