The salon, which is based at the college’s Melton Campus on Asfordby Road, Melton Mowbray, has been closed to external clients since covid-19 restrictions began in March 2020.

Upon re-opening, a wide variety of treatments will be on offer at competitive prices, including manicures and pedicures, tanning, hair removal, facials, and electrical face and body treatments such as microdermabrasion. For those who wish to truly pamper themselves, massage treatments will also be available, including both full-body Swedish massage and Indian Head Massage.

Not only will clients receive excellent service from students who are all Covid-19 infection prevention trained, they’ll also be able to rest in the knowledge that they’ve helped aspiring Beauty Therapists on their way to achieving their qualifications, allowing them to gain vital hands-on experience in carrying out treatments for real, paying clients.

Students Georgina Swann and Leah Whitfield said ‘It’s going to be great; the atmosphere will be really good! We can’t wait to meet new people and carry out treatments on clients. We’re really excited to practice our skills.’
