What will I learn?
You will explore in detail the range of ways children develop and learn from birth to 19 years old. You will discover methodologies and practitioners who have gained their knowledge and understanding through research and practical experience with children in the classroom.
You will dive into many different areas within childcare and education such as; social interaction, children's behaviour, language acquisition, safeguarding and special educational needs; as well as your understanding of the role of families and support agencies. Alongside this you will learn many practical skills; a range of ways children learn, how to set up activities for children and apply your skills in our new Early Years classroom on campus.
You have the choice of a specialism within this T-Level course. As you learn more about the different areas of education you can decide which area you would like to explore further based on you educational interests. You will be supported and encouraged to build up skills that you may require for a future job in this sector. You can choose from specialist modules in either Early Years Education, Assisting Teaching or supporting and mentoring students in further and higher education.
