The Transition Education and Childcare T Level course will enable you to progress into either the Early Years Educator T Level or the Assisting Teaching T Level.
T Levels are new courses that follow GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A Levels. They've been co-created by the industry you want to be a part of, so you can gain the knowledge and skills you need to leap ahead of the crowd and into your desired career.

What will I learn?
You will be focusing on 5 areas of core knowledge, skills and behaviours; positive attitude and behaviours, english, maths and digital skills, industry relevant technical knowledge and skills, knowledge and skills for the workplace and skills for successful study.
The Transition Education and Childcare T-Level course is aiming to give you skills and confidence to work within an educational setting. You will learn about Professional workplace behaviour. You will observe and follow the standards of working in a professional environment and learn skills to support.
These skills will also be developed in the college setting as you partake in group projects, work place scenarios and enrichment activities in our brand new 'discovery den'.
There will be many opportunities to develop your personal skills including problem-solving skills and critical thinking as you learn to apply what you have learnt in college in your industry placement.
Giving you the basics to expand your knowledge once you progress onto the T Level course.

Where could this course lead to?
You will be able to progress onto the level 3 Education and Childcare T Level. The aim of this course is to provide foundational knowledge to move onto the T Level in Education and Childcare Level 3 course. At the end of the year, students can apply for the T Level course. The transition programme should develop a wide range of skills and knowledge to help students, whatever their next step may be. They will gain valuable work experience which can be added onto their CV to help gain further job opportunities. This course also provides opportunities for students to further their English and Maths skills and complete the appropriate qualifications.

What qualifications or experience do I need?
4 GCSEs at Grade D/3, including Maths and English. With the opportunity to study Maths and English alongside your course.
