At SMB College Group (previously Stephenson College and Brooksby Melton College), our aim is to be the partner of choice for employers both locally and nationally.

We took the decision to hire apprentices through SMB College Brooksby knowing that the education and facilities there are of a very high standard and along with ourselves we could help grow these young individuals into qualified and competent grounds persons.
Our aim, if successful, was always to offer these apprentices a chance of employment with ourselves and I am delighted to say that Joshua was taken on and with Mitchell still on the course he will be given the opportunity in due course.
The whole process has been very straight forward and with the new online portfolio it has made things even easier for the students and ourselves to follow and manage their educational journey.
Having these apprentices have really helped us as a department to fill much needed staffing places and it is great to give these willing young adults an opportunity to be part of this great industry.
We work with the SMB College Group on a range of apprenticeships which are higher degree level. These degree level apprenticeships involve Quantity Surveying and Design and Build.
The programmes are very much employer-led by learning on the job. Learning key skills and developing fantastic qualifications to progress up the career ladder.
