Our Farming and Agricultural courses are great for anyone who's interested in technology, food production, cattle management or combating climate change. These courses provide students with a wealth of knowledge and experience in everything from machinery operation and estate management to sustainability and livestock breeding. Our students develop a great-skill set across both arable and livestock farming by learning the theory in practice, with real crops and real animals.
SMB College Group has a rich heritage as a leading provider of agricultural courses in the East Midlands. For generations, students have gained excellent experience on our 850-acre Brooksby estate, getting hands-on training in every aspect of farming.

Before my apprenticeship, I completed the Level 2 Agriculture course at Brooksby. My favourite part of the job is definitely welcoming new life onto the farm, and I've assisted most of the cows into calving this year. My grandparents have a farm, so I knew it's what I wanted to do from a young age. In the future, I'd love to go to New Zealand or Australia!
