The vocational delivery of our courses enables you to get the very best out of your time with us. You will leave us 'work ready', having developed a great-skill set in arable agriculture and livestock, by learning the theory in practice, with real crops and real animals.

What will I learn?
You will study units including; Professional Working Responsibilities; Land Based Machinery; Managing Agricultural Environments; Estate Skills; Livestock Husbandry. Where could this course lead to?
Upon successful completion of this Level 3 course, students may progress onto a Higher Education course, an apprenticeship or into employment within the industry. SMB College Group offers a University level course in FdSc Applied Environmental Land Management. We have very good links with the industry; our Agriculture students have gone on to work as shepherds, herdsmen, tractor operators, agricultural representatives, estates managers and teachers.

What qualifications or experience do I need?
5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including English, or Level 2 Agriculture and Level 1 Functional Skills. If you miss the English and/or Maths requirements of your course, don't worry - there are options to study these alongside your course.
