What will I learn?
Units include: Year 1: Functional Anatomy; Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology; Applied Research Methods; Coaching for Performance and Fitness; Biomechanics in Sport and Exercise Science; Specialised Fitness Training. Year 2: Physiology; Field and Lab based fitness testing; Physical Activity for Individual and Group based Exercise; Sports Massage; Nutrition for Performance; Sports Injury and Assessment; Research Project.

Where could this course lead to?
Learners may wish to progress onto our Sports Science Degree course, which is delivered in partnership with the University of East Anglia. Alternatively, students may choose to progress onto an apprenticeship or directly into employment within the Sports industry. Employment opportunities include Sports Coaching, Personal Training or becoming a Fitness Instructor.

What qualifications or experience do I need?
5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including English, Science and Maths, or Level 2 Sport and Level 2 Functional Skills. If you miss the English and/or Maths requirements of your course, don't worry - there are options.
