Creative Media Production and Technology Level 3

Typical modules include: Documentary Production; Music Video Production; Sound Design for Film; Website Design; Screenwriting; Studio Production; Film Production; Movie Trailers; Promotional Videos; Television Advertisements; Animation; Experimental Films. Skills and Techniques include: Lighting Design; Production Methods and Skills; Post-Production Camera Work; Visual Effects and Special Effects; 3D Animation; Multi-Camera Techniques; Single Camera Techniques; Sound Design; Directing; Showreel Design.

You will have the opportunity to participate in a number of enrichment activities, such as: Trips to places such as the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) and the Harry Potter WB Studios; Talks from industry specialist careers advisers to enhance your learning; Participate in a number of competitions and festivals, such as: Bang! Film Festival, Polydor Hurtwood, UK National Europass Viral Video Competition, Bootleg Film Festival in Toronto, and Cannes International Film Festival in France.

In recent years, our Creative Media Production students have shown their work at the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival and won top prizes at the Chevrolet Young Film Makers Awards, with one graduate even going on to work on Oscar- and a Bafta-winning films as a VFX Artist! Previous Creative Media Production students have gone on to become freelance filmmakers, cinematographers, directors, producers, scriptwriters, graphic designers, sound designers, camera operatives, editors, visual effects artists and lecturers. Successful completion of our Level 3 Extended Diploma will allow you to progress on to Higher Education or straight in to employment.

5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including English. If you miss the English and/or Maths requirements of your course, don't worry - there are options to study these alongside your course.
