  • What will I learn?
    Modules include: An Introduction to Creative Media Methods and Skills; An Introduction to Production Techniques; Producing for an Audience; Research for Creative Media Production; Exploring Audio Technology; Exploring Visual Technology; Exploring Interactive Media; Personal Project. Skills and techniques covered will include but not are limited to: Introduction to Lighting; Camera Work and Visual Effects; Multi Camera Techniques; Single Camera Techniques; Video editing and production; Use of Premier Pro.
  • How will I learn?
    Previous students have benefited from the following enrichment activities: Trips to places such as the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) and the Harry Potter WB Studios; Talks from industry-specialist careers advisers to enhance your learning; Participate in a number of competitions and festivals, such as: Bang! Film Festival, Polydor Hurtwood, UK National Europass Viral Video Competition, Bootleg Film Festival in Toronto, and Cannes International Film Festival in France.
  • Where could this course lead to?
    Our dedicated team of tutors have a wealth of experience for you to learn from. In past years, our Creative Media Production students have shown their work at the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival, won top prizes at the Chevrolet Young Film Makers Awards - and one graduate even went on to be part of a Oscar and a Bafta winning films as a VFX Artist! Creative Media Production students have gone on to become freelance filmmakers, cinematographers, directors, producers, scriptwriters, graphic designers, sound designers, camera operatives, editors, visual effects artists and lecturers.
  • What qualifications or experience do I need?
    4 GCSEs at Grade D/3 or above including English and Maths. Learners with lower grades or relevant experience will be considered subject to an additional assessment and/or supporting reference from their school or employer. If you miss the English and/or Maths requirements of your course, don't worry - there are options to study these alongside your course.
