During the course you will be given the opportunity to attend master class workshops and employer involvement activities. These can include visits, make-up demonstrations, beauty exhibitions, competitions and lectures from industry experts. Work experience is an important part of the course giving you an opportunity to develop employability skills and build your confidence in carrying out a range of treatments.
SMB College Group works with Ragdale Hall Spa providing work experience for Beauty Therapy students which often leads to employment at the Spa. Ragdale Hall recognises the college as a 'College of Excellence' for their hard work in educating high quality therapists and creating excellent relations.
You will continue to study Maths and English alongside your course if you have not achieved a grade 4.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment consists of internally set coursework and assignments, practical, controlled assessments and on-line exams.

Where could this course lead to?
Students can progress onto the level 3 course or move into full-time employment performing a range of beauty treatments. On Level 3 beauty therapy you will carry out units such as massage, electrical facials and body electrical treatments. Altenatively, students can gain employment in a variety of beauty therapy settings. These include beauty salons, cosmetic companies, hotels or health clubs. Or work self-employed as a level 2 therapist.
