It is essential to have kit and uniform for this course to maintain professional standards. This will cost approximately £55 for uniform and £215 for kit.

Where could this course lead to?
Once a level 2 diploma in hairdressing studies has been completed, the next stage in the progression is to complete level 3 hairdressing. On level 3 hairdressing you will build on your previous knowledge obtained in level 2, developing your knowledge and skills enabling you to work effectively as an advanced hairdresser. Some of the units you will cover are: advanced cutting, styling and colouring techniques, colour correction, bridal hairstyling and marketing for the hair and beauty sector. For those who don't wish to progress onto Level 3, career opportunities as a level 2 junior hairdresser exist in a variety of contexts, including: commercial hair salons, independent/self-employed/mobile/ home-based settings, product manufacturing and training, television/media/ film and theatre, Armed services, HM prison service, or cruise liners.
