The course also covers underpinning theory such as anatomy and physiology as well as learning about client management, lifestyle consultation and employability skills that are embedded within your programme.
Work experience is an important part of the course giving you an opportunity to develop employability skills and build your confidence in carrying out a range of treatments.SMB College Group works with Ragdale Hall Spa providing work experience for Beauty Therapy students which often leads to employment at the Spa. Ragdale Hall recognises the college as a 'College of Excellence' for their hard work in educating high quality therapists and creating excellent relations.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment consists of internally set coursework and assignments, practical, controlled assessments and on-line exams.

Where could this course lead to?
Students can progress onto higher education courses in spa and salon management or move into full-time employment performing beauty treatments. Alternatively, students can gain employment in a variety of beauty therapy settings. These include beauty salons, self employed, cosmetic companies, spas, hotels or health clubs. Students can progress to become senior therapist of salon or spa supervisors and managers, work internationally and or on the cruise liners.

English and Maths Grade 4 or above and a full Level 2 Beauty qualification.
