An introduction into Motor Vehicle Technology. Ideal for someone who is looking to get into the motor vehicle industry or someone looking to gain a better understanding of motor vehicles for their own pastime.

  • How will I learn?
    Our industry experienced staff will share with you their knowledge and experience of working in the engineering sector. They will use many different types of exciting interactive teaching methods to ensure your preferred method of learning is covered. You will experience classroom-based learning as well as workshop-based learning on industry standard equipment.
  • How will I be assessed?
    This course will include an online knowledge test for health and safety and tooling as well as two to three practical assessments for each of the individual modules where you will need to replace a specific component. Each module will also have a technical discussion and written explanation of the task carried out.
  • Where could this course lead to?
    Progression onto Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance course or into an apprenticeship.
  • What qualifications or experience do I need?
    Entry Level 3 Maths and English (GCSE to be studied alongside). 1 GCSE at Grade E/2 or above.
  • How long is the course?
    This course will last 10 months and you will be required to attend college three days per week (including English and Maths if required) (36 weeks).
