How will I be assessed?
There are 14 practical assessments that are carried out in the workshop, as well as 10 online knowledge tests and a written assignment.

Where could this course lead to?
Students may wish to progress directly into employment, progress onto a Level 3 full time course or an apprenticeship. Past students have become mechanics, MOT Testers and Service Technicians. Others have started their own businesses or gained employment with dealerships or breakdown services.

What qualifications or experience do I need?
3 GCSE grade 9-4 including Math and English (This is for direct entrants) (or equivalent). Previous experience or Level 1 Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and 1 GCSE Grade 9-4 in English or Maths.

How long is the course?
10 months (September to July) 3 days per week 36 weeks
